My iPhone 6 Plus.
Ok, I pulled the trigger and bought an iPhone 6 Plus about a month ago. I had been worried about the size of the 6+ and had gone back and forth between the 6 and the 6+ since launch. After handling the larger phone for a while I decided to take the plunge on a Silver, 128GB 6 Plus.
1. The reachability feature (two slight taps of the home button) really helps with for home screen navigation. That being said, during week two I found myself putting my most-used apps in the lower portion of the home screen. In fact, the lower right quadrant is now my home screen "sweet spot."
2. I use my iPad a LOT less. I use my iPad at work about 90% of the time with the For Score app being my app of choice for sheet music and music audio projection using an Apple TV. However, I have noticed that many evenings my iPad stays in my briefcase when I get home now that I have my 6 Plus. I do my television interactive television viewing (you know, sitting at the TV watching and browsing at the same time) on my 6 Plus. This phone CAN work as your "go to" device. The screen is beautiful!
3. The battery life on the 6 plus is amazing. Even after a full day of use I have battery to spare to read or listen to Spotify at the end of the night. This didn't happen on my 5S without a midday top-off. And YES...reading is enjoyable on the 6 Plus.
So, would I feel the same if I had decided to purchase the little brother of the 6 Plus? I don't think so. I mean, the screen on the 6 is beautiful but the larger screen size of the 6 Plus has made it my most used device for personal use. On Thanksgiving, I found myself only carrying one device for after-meal browsing instead of depending on my iPad to share viral videos with the family. No one seemed to complain...
